Paper 2 Pattern :

1.Paper-2 for SSC CPO 2017 Examination will be Online Computer Based Test (CBT)

2.Paper 2 has a total number of 200 questions

3.Time allotted for solving the paper is 2 hours(120 minutes)

4.Each question carries 1 marks and 0.25 negative mark for each incorrect answer.

Syllabus:

Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension etc.

Booklist:

Paper 2 English can be done from following books which I have personally referred and

which helped me a lot.

1. KD campus English book latest edition.

2. Kiran's SSC CGL Tier 2 English book and Question paper set for the practice.

3. For advanced vocabulary, if you have time you can read Norman Lewis- word power made easy.

Expert's Preparation tips:

1. Analyze the trend given below and prepare your own strategy to solve questions as per your comfort.

2. Prepare all the grammar rules from any of the above book and before exam solve as much

questions papers from Kiran's book as you can.

3. In exam solve around 170 to 195 questions to score more above 150 marks.

4. The difficulty level of this paper is easy, so solve as many questions you can so that your overall score gets increased and your rank gets improved to get the better force.

5. Solve the easy and less time taking questions first then take difficult topics to avoid last minute rush.

6. For English take difficult questions like Parajumble at last.

7. Revise the vocabulary part while going to the exam and try to relate it to images/objects so that you can recall at the time of exam because this part plays a crucial role to take you up on the rank list.

8. Before the exam, appear for few online tests seriously and analyze your score and work on weak areas.
